About the owner & author
My name is Benjamin Boos (aka Benjamin A. Miller), and I'm an independent author and illustrator with a passion for creating children's literature.
This journey began one day while playing with my children in our home in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. They'd often ask me make up a story, and while most of them were pretty silly and nonsensical, that day I told a story that stuck with me.
Since I have a background in graphic design and a joy of illustration, I dreamed of turning that particular tale into a book to share with my family and friends. Several years later, with the help of my wife, an elementary school teacher, and the feedback from her peers, I decided to self-publish my first book, "The Three Pirate Pigs".
The response has been phenomenal, and "The Three Pirate Pigs" has been shared with children all over the country, reaching far beyond my initial ambitions and expectations. I enjoyed the process so much that I decided to start my own publishing company, Gentle Giant Books, and pursue writing and illustrating children's picture books full-time.
I can't say enough how much I've appreciated people's support and feedback during this incredible journey. It's been a dream come true, and I'm looking forward to sharing more fun and engaging stories in the future.
